Lone Wine and Cream T-Strap Shoes
Lucinda Lone was the eldest daughter, and she preferred a wardrobe of black blouses, gray skirts, and accents of reds, especially wine colors. Her wine and cream t-strap shoes were her favorite, and injected personality into her classic wardrobe.
Her vintage shoes featured a modest heel that announced her coming and going. Her instructors lauded her precise manners but detested her heavy steps as she walked, especially when her shoes amplified the sound of each footfall. Lucinda would hear her teachers’ complaints, apologize, and leave stomping down the hall back to her studies.
She took to polishing her shoes weekly to maintain the patent vegan leather. The retro, wingtip-style broguing reminded her of her long gone great grandfather, but she kept that detail to herself. Whenever her sisters gave her trouble for the odd hobby, she narrowed her eyes but kept quiet, just as the old patriarch had taught her.
